A ladies weekend vanity case by Simon Tissot DUPONT, all black Morocco leather outside, and a brilliant red Morocco leather interior, the compartments house a collection of black enamel containers, each one with gold enameled initial A.H., also included are a hair and a clothing brush with natural bristle and a beveled mirror, the folding beauty case itself lies open on the first compartment, underneath is an empty space; marked S.T. Dupont, rue Dieu, Paris + Breveté S.G.D.G., both inner- and outer case with original slipcover. The item is mentionned in the December number of the 'Plaisir de France', magazine 1934 (see pic). This handsome artefact from the era of the Golden Age of Travel is hardly used. The house Dupont is nowadays famous for cigarette cases and lighters, compacts, cocktail and travel accessories etc., 53 x 36,5 (outer box) - 33 x 24 cm (inner box)
