Carlo Bonte

CEO - Auctioneer - Expert

“The success of Carlo Bonte Auctions is a contemporary professional approach, efficient strategic marketing and a large online presence to create transparency on the international art market for both buyer and seller.”

Carlo Bonte studied management in Cambridge, Angers and Utrecht. At the age of 23, he led his first auction, sparking a passion for art and antiques. To gain the necessary international knowledge and experience, the young auctioneer did an internship at Christie’s in London. This is how he came into contact with Partridge Fine Art, a legendary gallery on New Bond Street. In a short time, Bonte worked his way up to become the youngest director ever. He concluded his first sales deal with Irina Abramovich and has participated several times in international art fairs in London, Moscow and Palm Beach.

After 4 years, Carlo returned to his roots in Bruges. Carlo Bonte Auctions has grown over the past 10 years into a leading force in the auction world. He quickly specialized in Asian art and was the first in Belgium to develop an extensive network in China. In the meantime, a large part of his European art has also moved to China. His offer is very varied and qualitative.

The success of Carlo Bonte Auctions is a contemporary professional approach, efficient strategic marketing and a large online presence to create transparency on the international art market for both buyer and seller.
