Christo

1935-2020

Born Christo Javacheff in Bulgaria in 1935, artist Christo is known for his partnership with fellow artist Jeanne-Claude de Guillebon on several large-scale installations. Many of Christo’s paintings are from his early days in Paris, where he produced portraits and drawings on the street. Eventually, he experimented with found objects, and he and Jeanne-Claude began creating the large sculptures that would define their careers. Many Christo prints are primarily lithographs depicting his wrapped objects, from a pile of magazines to a Vespa to a portrait of Jeanne-Claude.
Christo and Jeanne-Claude acted as their own art dealers in the past, so it’s possible to find Christo art prints for sale at reasonable prices. Fans of larger-than-life artwork can find unique creations with notable landscape prints for sale at Invaluable.
