An Italian gilt-bronze Corpus Christi, Rome, late 16th/ early 17thC, after a model attributed to Giuglielmo della Porta (circa 1500-1577)

A particularly impressive cast of the present model can be found in the Convent of Porta Coeli, Valladolid, Spain. The present bronze appears to follow Guglielmo della Porta's Christ Crucified in the Mount Calvary relief in El Escorial, Madrid, Spain.
