A rare Charles Catteau (1880-1966) Art Deco dark glazed stoneware vase with monkeys, marked to the bottom 'Grès Keramis', signed in ink 'Ch. Catteau', decor number 'D1031' and impressed type number '976'

Stoneware vase, two-colour design with monkeys in different attitudes (black-brownish ochre).
A similar vase was presented at the 'The Exposition Internationale des Arts Décoratifs et Industriels Modernes' in 1925 in Paris (see image).
