Attributed to Osias Beert I (ca. 1580-1623/24), flower still life with roses, oil on panel
The attribution was based on the Van Herck Auction House catalogue sheet on the back of the panel. However, stylistically, the work leans more toward the oeuvre of Alexander Adriaenssen (1587-1661).
The back of the panel with an Antwerp craft maker's mark. The branding iron was used between 1616 and 1642, which gives the dates for the production of this panel.
Provenance: ex-collection Steurs-van den Broeck.
