A Chinese famille verte 'Animals' vase, depicting a continuous scene of animals in a fenced garden, such as a water buffalo, a horse, and a goat, the shoulder with roundels enclosing Buddhist emblems against a swastika pattern, the corseted neck enamelled with birds above pierced rockwork in a flower garden, late 19thC/Republic period, H 45 cm

  • Condition: - two separate long hairline cracks, longest ~10 cm: one through the water buffalo, another long crack above the blue pierced rock at the 'back'.
    - a star-shaped crack near the peony above the tail of the grey donkey
    Otherwise, no further remarks.
