A Chinese Imari 'Phoenix and Qilin' baluster vase, decorated with various scenes including a qilin frolicking in a flower garden, a pair of phoenixes in flight, flanking a vertical row of flower medallions, all set against a floral ground, the shoulder with a ruyi-collar, and the foot rim adorned with a lappet of stylised stiff leaves, 17thC/18thC (Kangxi period), H 66,5 cm
