A pair of South-Chinese/ Vietnamese carved Huali-type hardwood 'Dragon's Gate (Long Men)' door panels, finely carved to detail in relief with a fierce dragon above crashing waves, each corner with a spray of flower baskets inlaid in mother-of-pearl, presumably Huanghuali, late 19thC, 211 x 87,5 cm

Provenance:
- private Belgium collection, most of the pieces were acquired in Singapore
- the door panels were part of the interior of the United States embassy in Saigon, Vietnam (by repute)
