A rare Torck 'Jaguar Etype' red lacquer polystyrene and metal pedal car, 1963 - 1968, 48,5 x 60 x 142,5 cm

An extremely rare Torck 'Jaguar Etype' red lacquer polystyrene and metal pedal car, 1963 - 1968. This pedal car is designed by Jos Fred Smith, a Belgian artist who worked as a designer for Torck. The Etype is the first pedal car made by Torck in polystyrene, which is very innovative at the time. The upper shell is made of polystyrene, the bottom shell is made out of metal. Both halves are joined by a decorative aluminium strip. The production didn't last very long due to the problems that occurred by the use of the different materials for both shells.

Torck catalogue: 1963 - 1968
