A 17th - 19th-century exceptional Indonesian (Madurese) kris with ivory grip and sheath, Dimensions: L. with sheath 48,5 cm; L. without sheath 46,7 cm; L. of blade 37,3 cm / weight of sheath 258 g - total weight 688 g (+)

Traditional worked wavy blade, the relief worked parts gilt set, and with an elaborately and openwork floral decoration carved ivory hilt held in a silvered copper and worked mount. The sheath is decorated with three floral relief-worked gilt brass rings.
The item is presented on a wooden red and gilded ground plaque, relief carved with wayang figures. H plaque 62,5 cm.
