A Chinese blue and white 'Chrysanthemum Garden' baluster vase, decorated with roundels enclosing flower gardens, surrounded by auspicious emblems and stylised lingzhi fungi, a decoration reminiscing the ones from jars of the Ming dynasty, Transitional period, matched with a cover of the Kangxi period, H 57 cm

  • Condition: - a hairline crack to the inside wall of the jar, not cracked through the decorated outside
    - heavy glaze chips and rough edges at the top rim (wavy top rim)
    - cover not originally matching with the vase (a marriage)
    - the outer rim of the cover roughed and worn off glaze, and a deep chip to the outer rim
