A Chinese blue and white 'Lotus' lianzi bowl, sturdily potted with deep, rounded sides rising from a short foot, encircled by two blue bands, the bowl decorated in an inky cobalt, the interior with a medallion enclosing a pomegranate spray, framed by a continuous foliate scroll bearing six stylised lotus blossoms, all below a key-fret band at the top rim, the exterior painted with two registers of upright petals, beneath a band of crashing waves, Ming dynasty, H 5,5 - ø 9,3 cm

From a Korean-German private collection, by repute acquired in the 2000s.
