A Chinese yellow ground vase and cover, of baluster shape, painted with birds amongst flower branches in grisaille and gilt contour, the central body with a pair of dragons in flight, above a white chrysanthemum blossom, one dragon finely filled in iron-red, all reserved on a yellow ground, the top and foot rim with a famille rose band enclosing cartouches with birds and flower branches, amongst lotus scroll, paired with gilt handles modelled like Fu-lion heads, 19thC, H 68 cm

  • Condition: The cover and vase appear overall in our opinion in good condition, except for the following remarks:

    The cover:
    - chipped glaze to the underside of the outer rim
    - the lion knob with small damage to its leg
    Otherwise, no further remarks.

    The vase:
    - slightly leaning towards one side
    - the top rim with chipped glaze
    Otherwise, no further remarks.
