A Chinese famille rose baluster vase and cover, decorated with a continuous garden landscape of a pair of birds amongst peony branches, the shoulder and cover with a lappet of ruyi-shaped cartouches filled with a blossoming peony, with a Yongzheng mark, late 19thC/Republic period, H 67,5 cm

  • Condition: The vase appears overall in good to excellent condition, with the following remark:
    - a short glaze fault to the shoulder, ~7 cm: shallow dent, in our opinion not disturbing the overall appearance
    - dark spots to the neck rim

The cover with a crack circling around the lid, only visible to the decorated outside, not pierced through the inside.
