A Chinese famille rose 'He Xian Gu' charger, Yongzheng/Qianlong period, ø 36 cm

A Chinese famille rose 'He Xian Gu' charger, the well decorated with the female Immortal 'He Xian Gu', encircled by a finely enameled band in a diaper pattern, the rim with sprays of peony blossoms, 18thC, ø 36 cm

  • Condition: The charger appears in our opinion in near-excellent condition, except for:

    - [Production Fault] a V-shaped underglaze hairline to the well (possibly occurred during the production process): not pierced through as it's not visible to the bottom of the plate. Not even visible under strong UV-light. In our opinion occurred during the baking process as the hairline is actually covered by the famille rose enamel.

the first arm running horizontally through the sepia enamelled leaf until the lower robe (the rose part of the dress), ~4,5 cm, and the second arm running upwards towards the Immortal for ~5 cm

    - furthermore, some wear to the enamel (mostly the black enamel)

    - a vague surface scratch to the back (not a crack!)

    Otherwise, no further remarks.
