A Chinese gilt lacquered bronze figure of a seated Bodhisattva Avalokiteshvara, traces of gilt lacquer, cast seated in lotus position and the hands in dharmachakra mudra, with a serene facial expression and downcast eyes, wearing extraordinary jewellery at the chest, and an openwork crown, rested on a lotus pedestal with rows of lotus petals and a pair of lily stems, supported on a hexagonal base, Ming period, Total H 34,5 cm

  • Condition: The figure appears overall in good-looking and presentable condition, except for:
    - losses of lacquer and gilt
    - base: tears, small damages and spots of repair
    - figure: loss of a few fingertips
