A Chinese gilt bronze figure of Buddha Shakyamuni, cast in the Ming style, seated in vajraparyankasana on a double lotus throne, wearing a pleated robe draped over the left shoulder, the frilled undergarment gathered and peaking at the chest, the head and ushnisha covered with tight curls and topped with a jewel, marked Yongle, presumably Ming period with possibly later parts, H 17,3 cm - Weight 1499g

  • Condition: - heavy wear to its right shoulder, right hand and knee
    - gilt retouches to the head and neck
    - leaning towards the back
