A collection of Historicism gilt bronze mantle clocks, mid 19th, H 35 - 45 cm

A smaller gilt bronze mantle clock, with on top a gallant man near the well, the dial marked 'Van Heersynghels à Ostende', the inside mechanism marked 'Baschet Baullier, Paris', H 35 cm
The bigger clock with on top a beauty with a harp, the inside mechanism marked 'F.C.', H 45 cm
The third clock with a gallant couple on top, the inside mechanism marked 'Japy Frères', H 40 cm

  • Condition: - wear all over the gilt bronze
    - the clock with the lady with harp: cracks to the dial, the dial loose, in an attempt to wind the mechanism there was a lot of resistance which in our opinion means that the spiral springs are in no good condition
    - both other two clocks: functioning of the items wasn't checked but in an attempt to wind the mechanism there was a slight resistance which in our opinion means that the spiral springs are in good condition.
