The commemorative album 'Baihua Zhengyan Qing Huigui' was issued in 1997 as an official state gift by the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government to foreign heads of state attending the Handover Ceremony. Produced in a limited edition of 500 sets, the work was never released for public sale.

Each volume is printed on xuan paper using pioneering frequency-modulated screening technology, achieving a 1:1 reproduction of the original works of art with remarkable fidelity. Every set bears the signatures of the participating master painters and calligraphers, rendering it both a technical and cultural landmark.

Comprising twelve volumes, in concertina-style silk brocade bindings:
Vol. I: Preface with calligraphy by the first Chief Executive, Tung Chee-hwa.
Vol. II: Dedications by Lu Ping and Zhou Nan.
Vols. III–XII: Each presenting one painting of flowers and one accompanying calligraphy, executed by ten leading artists of modern Chinese painting, including Liu Danzhai, Tian Shiguang, Qi Gong, Yang Shanshen, Li Xiongcai, Guan Shanyue, Cheng Shifa, Xie Zhiliu, Chen Peiqiu, and Song Wenzhi.

Album size 68 x 48 cm; image size approx. 54 x 38 cm. Complete with original boxes, outer packaging, and deluxe certificate of authenticity.

The present set demonstrates the unparalleled achievements of late 20th-century Chinese printmaking, where advanced technologies combined with masterful calligraphy and painting to create a state-level cultural offering of enduring historical and artistic value.
