A fine Chinese cloisonné bronze censer, uniquely mounted, with 'De Cheng' mark, late 19thC, Total H 35 - W 50 cm

A Chinese cloisonné bronze censer, finely enamelled with flower branches and reserved on a ruby ground, mounted with a European gilt-bronze base, raised on four playful kylins, flanked by ditto dragon handles, the bottom of the censer bearing the mark 'De Cheng', late 19thC, Total H 35 - W 50 cm

  • Condition: The jardinière appears overall in good and presentable condition.
    - some wear to the gilt of the bronze mounts
    - a nearly noticeable pin through the base, but presentable and subtly camouflaged: most probably as part of the mounting
    - a negligibly shallow and small dent to the front (please consult pictures)
    Otherwise, no further remarks regarding the condition.
