A fine Chinese cloisonné enamelled tripod censer and cover, late 18thC, H 32,8 cm

A fine Chinese tripod censer, the bulbous body cloisonné enamelled with scrolling lotus on a bright blue ground, carried on a tripod issuing from three gilt bronze heads of a mythical lion, each side flanked by gilt bronze mythical beast models functioning as handles, the cover finished with a fine open-work gilt finial, depicting bats amongst lingzhi clouds, Qianlong/Jiaqing period, late 18thC, H 32,8 - W 26 cm

  • Condition: The tripod censer appears in good shape and condition: no repair, no marriage, no damages and no dents detected.

    The only remarks are the usual scratches to the gilt bronze, little wear to the enamel (inherent to the production process) and some removable smudges.
