A Japanese 'One Hunderd Boys' baluster vase, presumably Kutani ware (not marked), decorated in the Chinese Ming style, by form and motifs, typically the shoulder with a ruyi-collar, the foot rim with a band of upright petals, one roundel depicting 'One Hundred Boys', another roundel with a pavilion in a garden, the third roundel with 'Phoenix in a Garden', and the last one with a flower basket, 19thC, H 32 cm

  • Condition: appears overall in good condition, except for the typical glaze cracks throughout, missing enamel here and there, and wear to the gilt top rim.
