A fine Japanese Shibayama decorated chamber screen, signed, Meiji period (1868-1912), H 190 cm - W (closed) 88 cm

Inlay including metal, mother-of-pearl and bone, fine decoration depicting birds among branches, the lacquer panels framed in wood with metal inlaid phoenixes and mon symbols.

  • Condition: One of the panels loose, some damage to the back and one of the feet.
    Some scuffs and scratches to the lacquer.
    Furthermore, in our opinion, the item is in good condition considering its age.
