A Japanese ivory netsuke of Roshi and an ox, Edo period (18thC), H 4 cm - 17,2g (+)

Roshi in a tired position, sitting on an equally exhausted ox. The 'base' of the netsuke has a wood grain and wicker pattern. The bottom of the netsuke decorated along the cracks of the ivory. Himotoshi: one large on the bottom, one large on the back. Age cracks and honey-coloured patina.
