A large Chinese famille rose 'One Hundred Boys in Dragon Boats' vase, each panels depicting one hundred boys participating in a dragon boat race, the festivity set at a lake, on a pale turquoise ground with blue and celadon tones, all over famille rose enamelled with flower balls and Daoist emblems, slip decorated with scrolling clouds, the panels at the neck with a mountainous landscape and paired with stylised dragon handles, with a Qianlong mark and of the style, Republic period, H 70,8 cm

  • Condition: The vase appears overall in acceptable condition with the following remarks:
    - the bottom heavily potted and overpainted: the bottom rim and Qianlong mark are masked with paint, probably to cover blemishes
    - a restoration spot to one handle
    - remarkable scratches all over: the top, the body, the decorated panels, etc.
