A Limoges painted enamel plaque, with gilt details, on copper, depicting the portrait of a man in early 17thC costume (probably King Jacob I of England), monogrammed I.R. (Jean Reymond - died 1602–3), the portrait is presented in a medallion with a relief enamel foliage decoration, in a later wooden frame, presumably 19thC, 9 x 11,5 cm

  • Condition: wear to the enamel on the beard and the head of the figure
    furthermore in our opinion in good condition
