A Limoges enamel tazza, depicting Moses, presumably 16thC, H 17,5 cm - ø 19,5 cm

A Limoges grisaille painted enamel and partly gilt tazza, the well depicting Moses pouring water from the rock, the reverse decorated with renaissance scrollwork, alternating grotesques and amphoras, a snail and other details, the stem with angel heads and garlands, on copper, presumably 16thC, H 17,5 cm - ø 19,5 cm

  • Condition: - A large part was restored to the bottom rim and bowl of the tazza, situated to the inner border frieze, and to the masks on the outside
    - The stem and the bowl are joined in a rather clumsy way
    - The lower part of the stem was restored situated to the connection with the baluster shape
