A Louis XV period dark vernis Martin and ormolu cartel clock, the dial and movement signed 'Humbert Droz à Paris', mid 18thC, total H 140 cm

The enamelled dial with a so-called 'Cadran à treize pièces ', the case with floral vernis Martin decoration, the stand depicts hunting scenes.
Verge escapement movement.

The clock: H 102 cm
The console: H 38 cm

Provenance: former collection of MD Michel Depondt, the head of the renowned Chronos Antique Gallery in Bruges.

  • Condition: - some small restorations to the enamelled dial
    - minimal retouches to the vernis martin
    - furthermore in good condition.
