A pair of Chinese famille jaune 'Dragon and Phoenix' tianqiuping bottle vases, the bulbous body richly decorated with flower blossoms on sgraffito carved yellow ground, four sides of the body enamelled with a dragon and phoenix in flight within a roundel, the neck with an elegant five-clawed dragon amongst famille rose clouds, Guangxu period, H 57 cm

  • Condition: Both vases appear overall in acceptable to good condition, except for the following remarks:
    - both vases with large shallow chips at the top rim
    - one vase with a faint short line in the glaze to the decorated front, beneath the dragon at the neck: only visible to the exterior glaze, not pierced through the porcelain since it's not visible to the inside.
