A pair of Chinese famille rose 'Dragons chasing the Flaming Pearl' moonflasks, decorated with scrolling lotus and bats on a pale yellow ground, the roundel on one side depicting a pair of dragons chasing the flaming pearl, the other side with a pheasant in a garden, the neck paired with lingzhi handles in iron-red, 19thC, H 35,8 cm

  • Condition: Both moonflasks in overall good appearance, with the following remarks:
    - one flask with restored damage to the top and body: overspray at the top and the handles, the body with an apparent restored crack
    - the other vase with retouches to the iron-red handles, otherwise, no further remarks regarding the condition
