A pair of Chinese 'Mandarin pattern' export porcelain covered vases, overall richly applied with relief decoration depicting squirrels amongst vines, enclosing a scene in the Mandarin pattern of figures at leisure on a terrace with a riverscape in the background, 18thC, H 25 - 31,5 cm

  • Condition: Covers:
    - one lid missing
    - the other lid with two restoration spots to the rim

    Vases:
    One vase appears in good condition
    The other vase appears overall in acceptable condition, except for:
    - two hairlines at the top running downwards for 2 cm and 3 cm
    - a minor chip to the back of one of the four squirrels
    - a minor chip to the top rim
