A series of J. Vandermeulen - Decannière (Ostend - Belgium) bottled wines (standard size), 13 bottles of Vosne Romanée 1937, Grand vin de Bourgogne, 27 bottles Montrachet Grand vin 1947, Cuvée Réservée Bourgogne, 3 bottles Meursault Charmes 1952, 2 bottles Meursault Charmes 1955

  • Condition: J.Vandermeulen-Decannière founded the fine wine merchant bearing his name more than 100 years ago in Ostend, Belgium. Purchasing barrels from some of the best vineyards in France, he bottled all wines on his own. These wines enjoyed a very high reputation; and in particular, the wines from the mythical vintages are still excellent. Until the early 1960?s, J. Vandermeulen-Decannière was still bottling with the label bearing its crest "J.VANDERMEULEN-DECANNIERE to OSTEND."
    - All labels with signs of mold
    3 bottles of Vosne Romanée 1937 Grand vin de Bourgogne: 6 bottles with torn or spotted label, 1 bottle with crack to the inside, two bottles without label, some of the bottles have a perforated capsule

    27 bottles Montrachet Grand vin 1947, Cuvée Réservée Bourgogne: cork and capsule: 15 ok condition, 6 capsules mold, 6 broken capsules, ullage: 1 empty, 2 bottle hall fill level, 8 fill level ok, 16 fill level below the shoulder, label: 5 labels ok condition, 18 bottles with stains, 3 with small torn, 1 large torn, furthermore in our opinion in good to acceptable condition

    3 bottles Meursault Charmes 1952: cork and capsule: 1 ok condition, 1 capsule mold, 1 capsule tear, ullage: 1 fill level top shoulder, 2 fill level below the shoulder, label: 1 ok condition, 1 torn, 1 stain, furthermore in our opinion in good to acceptable condition

    2 bottles Meursault Charmes 1955: cork and capsule: 1 with torn, 1 with mold, ullage: 1 half fill level bottle, 1 fill level below the shoulder, label: 1 label ok condition, 1 label torn, furthermore in our opinion in good to acceptable condition

Shipping

The auction house is not in charge of shipment of the purchased goods.

Collection of purchases is only possible if the auctioneer has received full payment, be it in cash, by debit/credit card or via bank transfer.

If the buyer wishes a third party to collect his/her purchase in his/her stead, the buyer needs to fill in the Authorization Form for Collection of Purchase (please see below), sign it and send it back to the auction house via email. Without this Authorization Form, no third party can collect any purchase even if it is already paid for.

Goods must be collected no later than 15 days (applied to Belgian buyers) / 30 days (applied to international buyers) after the last auction day.

After this period, uncollected goods will be put in storage at the cost of the buyer. Regardless of the total amount of lots, a fixed storage fee of € 30 is charged. Besides this fixed fee, a storage fee of € 20 per lot per week will be calculated and charged as well.
