A series of two Chinese export porcelain 'The Leaping Pekinese' plates, after a design attributed to the Cornelis Pronk studio, enamelled in blue at the centre with a leaping pekinese dog, the rim with parrot and other bird cartouches, on an iron-red trellis border, 18thC (Qianlong period), ø 22,5 cm

  • Condition: One plate in overall good appearance, with the following remarks:
    - two small frits to the outer rim (not immediately visible)
    - a short crack at 11 o'clock, ~1 cm: not immediate visible, only with strong flashlight at a certain angle

    The other plate:
    - with a long hairline crack at 2 o'clock running inwards for ~10 cm
    - a flat chip to the outer rim at the back
