A three-piece Japanese Imari garniture, late Edo period (1603-1868), H 60 cm / H 85 cm


  • Condition: One of the sleeve vases;
    - a large darkened hairline crack from the rim to the middle of the vase, on the inside and outside
    - small hairline cracks under the rim on the outside
    The other sleeve vase;
    - one large and a few small darkened hairline cracks under the rim on the outside
    The centre lidded vase;
    - restorations to the rim of the lid, one of which is a large restored chip
    - some grazing to the surface of the vase
    - some small chips/damaged edges to the shishi on top of the lid
    Furthermore and in our opinion, besides the usual minor firing flaws, the items are in good condition
