2020 – Château Bousval, White (1,50 L.)
Vin de Pays des Jardins de Wallonië, Belgium

The story of a subtle marriage between peach skin, grapefruit and roasted almonds. The whole plays its beautiful length with amplitude and a velvety softness in the mouth. With its subtle touch of toast, the Tout Cru will be the faithful companion of your summer dishes: the finesse of sea bass with fresh bay leaves, the firm flesh of turbot or the unique flavour of Bresse chicken on a family Sunday.

2018 – La Falize, Red (1,50 L.)
Vin de Belgique, Belgium

The vineyards are planted on the plateau of the 15th century castle and are well drained and south facing. This Chardonnay comes from the beautiful 2018 vintage. It has a very fresh fruity notes on the nose of orchard fruit, dill and salty minerality. Aging the wine in oak barrels for 18th months adds an attractive depth and roundness to the wine with subtle buttery notes. Aromas of perfectly ripe stone fruits such as peaches mingle with green apples, citrus zest and wet flints. In the final, the crunchy acidity combined with notes of green apples and citrus zest, linger for a long time. This is another great Chardonnay from Belgium; blindtasted, it can certainly pass for a good white Burgundy.

Visit to Château de Bousval for 8 People
The history of the Château de Bousval vineyard was born from the dialogue between Michel Verhaeghe de Naeyer, a nature lover, and his abandoned Walloon fields. Michel's rural soul was filled with the desire to revive this unproductive soil and pass it on to new generations. The idea of going into winegrowing came naturally, like a dream that one dares not believe in.

Visit to Clos d'Opleeuw for 8 People
The vineyard Clos d'Opleeuw (1 ha) takes its name from its complete enclosure, which dates from ± 1840. This circumstance makes it unique in Belgium. Indeed, it possesses a specific microclimate that makes it possible to make a high-quality chardonnay wine. It is located on a southern slope in the pretty, picturesque Haspengouw village of Gors-Opleeuw. The wine, whose official appellation of origin is "Haspengouw", is vinified by Peter Colemont, teacher of general wine knowledge, tasting French wines and gastronomy and wine at the Centre for Adult Education Hogere Leergangen in Hasselt.
