Kuniyoshi, two prints of kabuki scenes, both oban tate-e, both framed 54,5 x 36 cm

One with a group doing calligraphy, signed Ichiyûsai Kuniyoshi ga, probably ca 1840
The other, a kabuki scene, signed Ichiyûsai Kuniyoshi ga (with kiri seal), probably ca 1845

  • Condition: The calligraphy scene;
    - part of a diptych; some damage to the left side
    - damage to the bottom right side
    - some staining to the paper
    - signs of bookworm activity
    The kabuki scene;
    - very clear signs of bookworm activity
    - damage to the top right side, probably from tape or glue
    Furthermore, in our opinion, the items are in acceptable condition
