Two carved ivory Indo-Portuguese religious figures; one depicts an upright standing and praying Virgin, Goa, 18th - 19th-century, H 14,3 cm - weight 109 g.; the other ivory figure shows a sleeping Christ as the good shepherd, on a rock, 17th - 18th-century, H 7 cm - weight 93 g (+)

  • Condition: The ivory Virgin is in good condition. It is made of two pieces (Virgin & base)
    The whale ivory Virgin: a missing piece to the back of the ivory base due to a nail / a missing ornament to the base
    The sleeping Christ: is in fact the base of another item (a crucifix?) / a piece missing from the hand holding the cross and the rock next to it, and also from the front foot /
