A Chinese famille rose vase, one side decorated with Immortals in a garden, the other side with a pair of phoenixes amongst peony branches, 19thC, H 42,5 cm

  • Condition: The 'Court lady and Emperor' vase:
    - a horizontal crack/section at the top rim
    - one tail from the Fu lion handle restored

    The other 'Birds and flowers' vase:
    - deep scrubbing scratches
    - long crack to the inside wand ~15 cm, only slightly visible to the decorated exterior: visible as a vaguely darkened line
    - chip at the top rim
    - bottom cracks
