Two various Chinese ivory miniature table screens, Qing dynasty, 19th-century or earlier, H 27,4 - 28 cm / 407 - 415 g (+)

Both the plaques are carved in low relief and polychrome stained. One with figures on a terrace set in a garden, and the reverse with a fan-shaped reserve, a kilin, a Ruyi scepter, and a book; mounted in an ebony frame. The other one with figures in a garden pavilion, and the reverse with a leaf-shaped reserve and an archaic incense burner; the frame, a whole with the plaque, is carved with pierced decoration
The stands are decorated with pierced and dragon-shaped scrollwork; the top of the holder pillars are shaped as Fû-lions
