A Japanese mammoth ivory stamp with a little stamp inside, Taîsho/early Shoa, H 11 cm, 367g (+)

Black stained engraving
In our opinion, the figure is made of mammoth ivory, both stamps have Japanese characters

Part of the ex-collection of Mr Rozenfeld, Antwerp

  • Condition: A very small chip on the basket with the toad, the piece is made from two pieces, cracks inherent to the material, in our opinion, the fact that the stamp is rarely used could be an indication that the item is at the latest first half 20th century
