An exceptional Louis XVI gilt bronze and Carrara marble 'Temple de L'Amour, Cercles Tournants' pendule, ca. 1780, H 53 cm

A biscuit figurine of a girl holding a dove stands in a circular marble temple. Above her is a baldachin raised with palm trees and containing the ingenious clock movement, topped by a gilt bronze sitting chinoiserie figure.

  • Condition: - the enamel plaque of '40' missing, some small restorations to the other enamelled palques
    - no wind-up key included
    - one of the gilt bronze garlands wrapped around a pillar broken
    - the marble circular plaque above the biscuit figurine broken through
    - Furthermore, the piece appears in good condition.
