Two Limoges painted enamel plaques on copper, partly gilt, one depicting the Annunciation 'O Mater Dei, Memento Mei', the other the coat of arms of Jeanne de Ghistelles, presented by angels, the whole in a gilt bronze frame, presumably ca 1500, attributed to the workshop of 'the Master of the large foreheads' ('Maître des Grands Fronts'), 19 x 25 cm (+)

(+) Added a certificate by an external expert

  • Condition: - Quite some cracks all over the plaques
    - Top plaque: large chip to the centre top part. Chips to the right top part.
    - Bottom plaque: Chips to the left top corner and edge
    - In our opinion, probably the centre panel of a triptych.
    - Monogrammed 'G'? to right entrance of the arcade
